SONORA — October 2019 —I live in Sonora, CA. It is a small town in the Mother Lode foothills. I grew up in this town. It was the perfect town to grow up in, the perfect town for a kid. It was much smaller when I was a kid. There was only one stop light back then, but over the years the town grew and now today there are several stop lights and the town has also grown in size and there are much more stores here today than there was back then. When I was a young adult the town was no longer fun for me, I felt closed in, like I was missing out on what else was out there. So I ventured off into the bigger world. But my family was still up here and it took about 8 years of being gone and I finally found myself right back here in this town but now grown up I know this is the right place for me. I found my husband here and together we have two beautiful children and I couldn’t be happier. This town has been in my life the whole way, even when I was away I would come back to visit. The town always seemed to draw me back. I love it here, the air is clear, there are mountains in every direction, in the winters we get snow, the people are friendly, it feels safe here and it feels like home!
